The Roland Boutique JD-08 Sound Module breathes new life into a classic - the JD-800. The JD-08 takes the design and sound of the JD-800 and houses it within this compact and portable sound module. From bottom to top the module behaves and sounds like the original JD-800 thanks to advanced sound modelling Roland has authentically replicated the classic sound. The JD-800 played a major part in the 90s EDM scene with many iconic tracks being produced using this synth.
A sound designers dream; the JD-08 features all 108 original waveforms complete with the original 64 presets and an additional 21 new presets! The two-part 65-step polyphonic sequencer features a motion recorder a random pattern generator and enough memory to store up to 128 patterns. It also features an onboard arpeggiator to create melodic rhythms. Whilst staying true to the original the JD-08 features a range of upgrades including expanded polyphony and an integrated USB-C audio/MIDI interface.
The original JD-800s unique two-stage multi-effects section has been meticulously recreated as well as offering a four-part structure for advanced tone layering. The portable design can be powered via 4 x AA batteries or via USB-C for maximum flexibility.
