The design of most studio monitors is one woofer and one tweeter, a tried and tested concept. However, there is also something to be said for an MTM model, which means two woofers and a tweeter. The advantage of two woofers is that they distribute the work and can respond more tightly. So does the IK Multimedia iLoud Precision MTM, equipped with two 5-inch woofers. Such an MTM is normally something for the slightly more expensive class, then this price is not even that crazy. However, is it right to compare this MTM to the more expensive class? In this case: yes indeed! This new iLoud performs so well that a comparison with much more expensive studio monitors is appropriate.
