The hardest of the bunch. Immediate attack. The Vic Firth Tim Genis Molto Articulate Timpani Mallets feature the same wood core as the GEN7 (Hard Articulate). But the beater features a thinner outer wrap and uses American felt. This is much harder than the German felt on the GEN7. Its more percussive sounding than resonant making it perfect for louder and more rhythmical excerpts.
