At the front end you can switch between two high-performance preamps: the transparent SuperAnalogue circuit or the character-driven VHD which adds controllable harmonic distortion. This makes it equally useful for clean vocal tracking or adding grit to bass drums or synths. The onboard dynamics section includes compression expansion and gating with Peak Detect and Fast Attack modes for tight control and punch.
You can also position the dynamics pre or post EQ depending on your workflow. For tone shaping choose between the smooth musical 292 Pink EQ or the precise surgical 242 Black EQ; both with extended mid-band range and flexible filter routing.
