Yamaha Silent Brass SB1J Tuba Mute with STJ Personal Studio

Yamaha's SB1J is a PM1X tuba damper and an STJ Personal Studio. These two products complement each other well. The damper has a built-in microphone to capture the sound of the tuba. Connect the mute to the STJ and you can hear the sound directly back through earbuds. This way, you can play whenever you want, without neighbours or housemates being bothered by the loud sound. You can use an included USB cable to connect the STJ to a computer to record the sound. Because mutes can often alter the sound, Yamaha has designed the Brass Resonance Modelling technology, which corrects the effect. This makes it sound like you are playing without a damper.
