The SSL 4KB Channel Strip is an exact plug-in replica of the rare and elusive SL 4000 B console now available in your DAW. Famed for its tone punch and rich non-linear analog character the SL 4000 B is heard on hundreds of iconic records. Developed using original schematics state-of-the-art analog simulations and detailed hardware prototypes this plug-in has been analysed at the component level for precise accuracy.

The SL 4000 B plug-in features Jensen JE-115K-E transformer preamps to add authentic analog saturation to your tracks as well as the original 4000-series EQ - a precursor to the O2 Brown Knob design. Enjoy unique dynamics processing based on the legendary SSL Bus Compressor with a de-ess mode gate expander and an analog-modelled DBX 202 "Black Can" VCA fader. The SSL 4KB also has an expanded output section with a virtual fader stereo image control and Fader Level Pan and Width parameters for an unparalleled mixing experience. You can even use the compressor mix control for parallel compression.

Scale the CPU efficiency with HQ mode introducing processes such as oversampling under the hood. And for hands-on control the SSL 4KB integrates with the SSL 360° Plug-in Mixer UC1 and UF8. Mix and match the 4KB with Channel Strip 2 and control them all from the SSL 360 Plug-in Mixer - your virtual SSL console.
