The Schlagwerk Frame Drum Black Dot is a versatile and innovative instrument that appeals to both frame drum players and drummers. Crafted with a 7-ply glued beech wood frame and adorned with a goatskin drumhead this drum offers a distinct bass and controlled muted overtones opening up a new world of sound possibilities.
With the addition of a wooden cross and the optional drum cross holder RTH10 the Frame Drum Black Dot can be seamlessly incorporated as an extension of a drum set allowing drummers to explore new rhythmic patterns and textures using sticks and rods. The Black Dot feature protects the goatskin ensuring durability and longevity.
Like all Schlagwerk frame drums the Black Dot models are renowned for producing a pure and natural sound. Available in diameters of Ø 60 and Ø 50 cm (approximately 20") these drums can be easily tuned using the 10 integrated tuning screws offering the player the ability to achieve the subtlest nuances of sound and tone volume.
