The goatskin drumhead produces a beautiful percussive sound; rich and full. The body is made of mahogany, which incidentally comes from a special nature-friendly plantation. No less than twenty layers of teak oil have been used to protect the shell and keep it in optimal condition. A nice middle sound, that is the net result.
