Mackie EM-98MS On-Camera Shotgun Microphone

The Mackie EM-98MS shotgun microphone mounts directly onto your camera and features a headphone output so you can monitor the audio capture while the high-pass filter keeps unwanted background noise out of your takes. This active microphone comes equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery that powers the internal preamp and, since you can never know what's going happen before you start recording, the EM-98MS has an Overdrive Protection Mode that you can activate to lower the right channel by 10dB to avoid distorted sound. Also, just to be clear, this is a mono microphone which means both channels are identical.
